General Aspects SAD

Social phobia seems to be next to agoraphobia the most common anxiety disorder .  So far, it is ranked very differently. The investigation spread from 1.7% to 16% in the general population. An average value seems to be realistic.

General Exposure

A lot of people with social phobia are anxious or vulnerable in their personality structure. The trigger of the disorder is  performed by corresponding environmental impacts, mostly insults, frustration or humiliation. Not exclude, however, a genetic predisposition to anxiety disorders in general and social phobia in particular. In any case, a familial predisposition (tendency) will be discussed more often a hereditary burden. This manifests itself mainly in a “positive family history, ie there is often a person with the same problems in the history of parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, paternal or maternal.

Personality Structure

People with social phobia are as anxious, introverted (more introspective) than others with less problems in this regard. The boundaries for shyness  overlap.

SAD – What you must know

What you must know, and above all, what can you do?

The fear of other people has been described over 2000 years. Now, however,  an unusual increase is being observed. Some are already talking of a “social disease”. This is certainly an exaggeration. But today, the pathological shyness or social phobia is one of those mental disorders that cause the most suffering – though its often overlooked. What you must know, and above all, what can you do?

Definition

Social anxiety is one of the anxiety disorders. In the International Classification of Mental Disorders – ICD-10 the World Health Organisation (WHO) has among the neurotic stress and somatoform disorders (F 4) a separate division under the title of social phobia (F 40.1). In the Diagnostic and statistically Manual of Mental Disorders – DSM-IV of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) it runs on Social phobia (Social anxiety disorder – 300.23). Previously they were called – if they are scientifically classified at all – as a social neurosis or Anthropophobia, popularly known as “pathological shyness. What is it exactly?

Social anxiety are a fear of situations with avoidance behavior. The fear is not sufficiently justified, nevertheless the experience is  distinct so that one can hardly break away from it by its own. Therefore it is an obsessional (technical term: phobia).

The social phobia always refers to acts that take place under the eyes of third parties who  monitor the behavior  and possibly criticize. It manifests itself not only in fear of examinations, including public appearances, which would be understandable. The focus will be rather mundane, namely the fear of social events: parties, invitations, restaurants, friends, and above all have to make other people, especially the opposite sex. So the fear in the presence of others take the floor to eat, drink, write, phone calls, the fear, a business having to enter an office, etc.

Symptoms of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD)

Social anxiety disorder is the fear of the close observation by other people in comparatively small groups (but not in crowds) and eventually lead to the fact that social situations are avoided or endured only under intense fear. Social anxiety disorder  is a permanent, unreasonable fear of situations in which persons with SAD have to do with other people and are thus are exposed to a possible review by others. There are unreasonably strong fears of social situations or performance situations in which the person with SAD is the focus of attention of others and is afraid to do something that would be humiliating or embarrassing.

People with Social anxiety disorder fear failure, being ridiculous or unpleasant attention. They fear being ridiculed in social situations or being treated with hostility, looking stupid, to lose control, to experience panic and being tongue-tied, so they stand out even more, especially if several symptoms occur.

Social Anxiety Disorder can be either clearly defined and described or indefinite and can occur in almost all social situations outside the family. The diagnosis of  Social Anxiety Disorder is confirmed when one person alone can perform activities without fear which he cant perform when other people are present.

A certain amount of social anxiety is normal. Shyness is also not a problem if it is not experienced as stressful. The level of SAD depends on the degree of the experienced disturbance. This is characterized by the anxious avoidance of social contacts.

Anxiety Natural Remedy – We Don’t Need Medication Or Doctors

No matter what you’re heard, the simple fact is that we don’t need drugs or doctors to solve our anxiety attack problems. Is this a serious condition? Yes. But, the fact is that doctors and modern western medicine don’t treat this chronic health problem well… at all.

Their solution is to pump us full of drugs with huge side effects or get us to talk about our feelings for $400. I don’t know about you, but I can get the same effect from talking with a close friend for free. I can also get the effects of the most powerful drugs by changing my diet a little, exercising, and doing some simple relaxation techniques. All free. No side effects, anxiety attacks beaten.

And most importantly these natural remedies are a real anxiety attack cure. We are not treating the symptoms we’re treating the root cause. We’re repairing our nervous system and our overworked brains. This is a much safer and more complete long term solution. Panic and anxiety attacks are scary as hell, but isn’t it nice to know that we can all do something about them right now, and in the privacy of our own homes?

Water – Alkaline Minerals – Protein – Anxiety Natural Remedy

With regards to changing our diets, the best things to do are to increase our pure water intake, increase our protein intakes, and increase our alkaline mineral intake. All of these things work together to rebuild our nerves and flush out the things which irritate our system.

Drinking half your body weight in ounces of pure, fresh water per day is the minimum amount recommended. Increasing protein intake is critical for building neurotransmitters to keep us calm, 0.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day. And, for alkaline mineral intake, please eat 8 – 10 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.

Exercise is missing from almost every panic and anxiety attack sufferer I’ve ever known. And getting enough physical exercise is extremely important for us. We need it, badly. So, go for a walk. Go for a jog. Go swimming. Just do something physical on a very regular basis, you will see a benefit from this immediately and it will gradually get even better.

Real Relaxation & Deeper Sleep – Anxiety Natural Remedy

True relaxation isn’t something that most people know how to do. Sitting around watching TV is not deep relaxation. Ironically deep relaxation takes focus. Things like meditation, yoga, massage, saunas, progressive relaxation, deep breathing, and hot/cold showers all repair and balance the nerves. Very important for anxiety attacks.

Sleep is extremely important to our recovery, in addition to getting your 8 hours per night, be sure to make your bedroom as quiet and as dark as possible. This ensure deeper sleep, taking herbs like valerian is also a great treatment…
